Press Release

Minneapolis, Minn. (June 20, 2005) – Balls to the Wall Productions is proud to announce its musical comedy, American Blue Jeans, appearing at the 2005 Minneapolis Fringe Festival! The company’s production debuts this August at the historic Brave New Workshop!

Written by four friends living in the years after college, American Blue Jeans traces the story of four friends who reunite after college to discover who they’ve become and who they’ve always been to each other, with obvious comedic musicality.

“I like this script,” said Doug Neithercott, artistic director for Comedy Sportz Minneapolis, and American Blue Jeans director. “It’s fun and quirky…all the things a musical needs to be!”

“It’s fascinating to watch a project grow from intimidating to exciting,” said Alaina Hoffman, an American Blue Jeans writer and actor. “I can’t wait to let the audience in on this great inside joke that we, the writing team, have been laughing about for months! Jazz hands!”

Show times are Thursday August 4th at 8:30pm; Saturday the 6th at 7:00pm; Thursday the 11th at 8:30pm; Friday the 12th at 1:00 pm; and Sunday the 14th at 4:00pm.
